20 organic, fragile and deep pad patches for Ableton Live made from lo-fi tape recordings of synth tones (OP-1, Buchla Easel Command, Kawai K1m, Yamaha TG33) and fx and loopers (Shallow Water, Blooper, El Capistan) recorded with a Vestax MR 300. As usual, the patches are organic in their own way and have a dazzling life of their own.

For this Ableton Live patches I recorded tone gradients from my OP-1, Buchla Easel Command, Kawai K1m and Yamaha TG33 through an fx chain consisting of Shallow Water, El Capistan and Blooper with a Vestax MR 300 on normal ferro tape. The patches always sound slightly different and organic each time they are played resulting in fragile, slightly wobbly, restless yet dreamy tonal pads with lot of textures hidden inside. All sounds in the video recorded without additional effects.

Most patches consist of one or more samples, which are created through a process of sampling with varying vintage samplers, synthesizers, effect devices and tape. Special emphasis is paid to organic behavior, random moments and details. When playing these patches, they unfold deliberate randomness and a certain life of their own. This is intentional.
